"As someone with high standards, I feel like the running theme has been I'm always disappointed by contractors and agencies however, Wedge was the first company that we experienced a 180 of that".
Ashley Van Rosmalen
Founder & Director
Noma Finance had a service as good as anyone in the market and almost no way to prove it. This is the story of how a problems-first strategy took a highly regulated brokerage from invisible to industry name, and turned it into 151 bookings a month, 4x revenue and a doubled team in 12 months, all through social.

Noma Finance helps people cut through the bank noise to find the right car, business and personal finance. The service was strong. Ashley just couldn't get the marketing to show it.

A great service nobody could see

Before Wedge, Ashley had tried the lot. Junior hires in-house. Agencies. Providers who mostly knew product businesses, not service ones. None of them understood how to take a highly regulated, service-based brokerage and turn it into social media people actually wanted to watch.

Hiring in-house hadn't solved it either. "You could find a creative or you could find a strategist. It's very hard to find a creative strategist, and if you're a small business, you can't afford to hire two people." The result was a brand that felt invisible. "I just knew our product was good. It was really frustrating that I didn't have the right team to bring that to life."

Why Wedge

Ashley had watched other businesses crack their marketing and knew Noma had the same potential. The problem was never agencies. It was agencies without experience in her space. "After even a brief call with Kim, she gave me so much confidence that she understood my problem and had the tools to fix it. It was a no-brainer."

The difference was the approach. "Kim came in with a problems-first approach. When I'd worked with other agencies, I felt like they had a model they were slapping onto our business. I could tell she took the time to understand our business and the problems, so she could apply the right solution. That's why we got results."

The results

The shift was fast. Within four weeks, bookings jumped. Noma had been averaging about four booked calls a week. That climbed to more than twenty. Six months on, the leads are still coming in consistently, with no ad spend. All organic.

Today Noma books around 151 calls a month, and Ashley has become a top 0.5% creator on TikTok. May was a record month for settlements, with new referral partners on board. Ashley puts it down to one thing. "I can only put that down to strategy. It certainly wasn't a coincidence."

The change goes beyond the numbers. Noma now gets noticed in its industry, by awards, clients and referral partners alike. More B2B referral business is coming in. Hiring and scaling are easier because the outcomes are predictable. For Ashley, the biggest shift is personal. She can finally hand marketing over and trust it. Less stress. No finger in every post.

The bottom line

"As someone with high standards, the running theme has always been that I'm disappointed by contractors and agencies. Wedge was the first company where we experienced a 180 of that." Ashley's advice to anyone on the fence is blunt. Bad marketing is costing you customers every day. "It made sense because we returned the investment four times over. You just need to get past the fact that bad marketing is costing you so much more."
